Anne's Book
As many of you know, Crowden School Director of Music, Lisa Grodin, has been gathering and organizing materials for Anne's longtime dream—a book on teaching music to children ages 8 to 14.

We hope to reconstruct the lessons Anne taught us, so that we and other teachers can learn from her methods. In time, we hope to publish the book as a tribute to Anne, with proceeds going to the Anne Crowden Scholarship Fund.
It would be very helpful to receive feedback from those who studied in Anne’s bowing classes and/or belonged to her private studio. We invite you to contribute notes or recollections about the following:
- The order in which Anne introduced technical skills to you
- Specifically how Anne taught shifting and spiccato
- The pieces Anne taught you (in what order and at what stage of readiness)
Please take this opportunity to contribute to Anne's legacy and share your stories, anecdotes, and thoughts!
