Hadley McCarroll
A well-known performer throughout the Bay Area, pianist Hadley McCarroll is hailed for her "lively and exhilarating" pianism. (SF Classical Voice). A renowned collaborative pianist, she enjoys relationships with opera companies throughout the US, including Utah Festival Opera, San Francisco Opera, West Bay Opera, and Festival Opera, and internationally at AIMS in Graz, and the Royal Danish Opera. Under Kent Nagano, Hadley prepared West Coast premieres of works by Elliott Carter and Unsuk Chin. She maintains an active private coaching studio in Oakland and has been on the faculty of the San Francisco Community Music Center since 1997. As part of the acclaimed vocal-instrumental trio The Mirage Ensemble and duo martha & monica, with cellist Monica Scott, she presents concerts throughout Northern California. Both groups have recorded albums of diverse repertoire-martha & monica recently recorded a CD featuring major works by Beethoven, Carter and their own transcriptions of French song. Hadley received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Texas at Austin.
