Crowden Benefit Concert: Quartet San Francisco
May 3, 2010, 7:30 pm
Yoshi's Oakland
Five-time Grammy®-nominee Quartet San Francisco performs at Yoshi's Oakland (Jack London Square) in benefit of the Crowden Music Center.
Quartet San Francisco will perform "classical crossover" works ranging from the Beatles to Dave Brubeck, all in original arrangments by ensemble founder and longtime Crowden supporter Jeremy Cohen. QSF will be joined in select pieces by Crowden School students and alumni.

About Quartet San Francisco
Non-traditional in their delivery, QSF redefines the sound of chamber music. "When the music says swing, we swing. When the music says groove, we groove."
Five-time Grammy nominee for its last three releases (2006, 2007, and 2009) and International Tango competition winners (New York, 2004), Quartet San Francisco expresses itself in its agility and standout virtuosic playing. Quartet San Francisco is Jeremy Cohen and Alisa Rose, violinists, Keith Lawrence, violist, and Michelle Djokic, cellist. As crossover specialists they excel in multiple styles — from jazz to tango, pop to funk, blues to bluegrass, gypsy swing to big band and beyond.
