Annual Fund Individual Giving
Your support underwrites salaries for our gifted teachers, provides scholarships for young musicians, lets us take music into the community through outreach and satellite programs, and helps maintain our heritage building as a vibrant center for music and music education.
We particularly appreciate and benefit from unrestricted gifts, which give Crowden flexibility to respond to needs and opportunities as they arise, but you may designate your gift specifically to TCS or CCMC if you wish. We need and welcome Annual Fund gifts of any amount; every gift helps, and all gifts are tax-deductible.

Matching Gifts
Many employers (current and former) offer a Matching Gifts Program. This is a tremendous benefit that can double or sometimes even triple your gift to the Crowden Music Center. Corporate Sponsorship
Crowden’s corporate sponsors demonstrate their commitment to music education in the Bay Area by supporting scholarships; public events, such as our annual Community Music Day; and outreach programs in public schools, churches, and community centers—all while promoting their companies’ philosophies of philanthropy and building brand awareness.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of stock or other appreciated property offer two-fold tax savings. Donors (1) pay no capital gains on increased value of the appreciated property, and (2) receive an income tax deduction for the full market value at the time of the gift. Transferring securities is easy. To insure proper tax credit, timely acknowledgement, and accurate processing of your stock donation, please contact the Development Office for a transfer form or more information, at development@crowden.org or 510.559.6910 ext. 113.
Bequests
By leaving a portion of your estate to the Crowden Music Center in your will or living trust, you provide a lasting legacy of your passion and dedication for music education and performance. Memorial and Honorary Tribute Gifts
You can commemorate a loved one with a gift to Crowden. Gifts may honor a person during his/her lifetime, commemorate a significant event, or provide a legacy in keeping with your loved one’s interests and ideals. Families of those honored will receive notification of the donor's gift.

In-Kind Donations
Crowden gratefully accepts in-kind donations of instruments, computers and other technology, library books, donations for our annual Gala auctions, and more. Parent-Initiated Fundraisers
The Crowden School Parent-Teacher Network (PTN) raises money for special projects, such as new library shelves, new microphones, and new sound equipment for the auditorium. The PTN has two main fundraisers each year: a fall gift wrap sale and a spring raffle. Throughout the year, you can buy scrip to earn money for special projects at Crowden while you shop!
