Emily Adams

After beginning studies with Lisa Grodin and Stevie Corcos, Emily began studying violin with Anne Crowden at the age of 10. She is a proud alumna of The Crowden School (class of '97), and has been involved with several chamber music programs, orchestras, and solo competitions. Emily has taught private lessons in addition to being a teacher at several Crowden summer programs. She also held a position as chamber music coach at Summer Music West that took place at the San Francisco Conservatory in 2002. She studied under Lorenz Gamma at UCLA, where she was also a violinist in the Debut Orchestra.

Emily joined the Crowden School music faculty in the fall of 2006, and is very excited to be returning for the 07-08 school year. She feels that the education, community, and deep appreciation for music and the arts given to her by Anne and the Crowden School are invaluable, and she hopes to carry on the Crowden tradition in her own music classes.

Aside from being an ardent chamber music lover, Emily is also a painter and is finishing her coursework at UC Berkeley.
