Teale Matteson

Teale has strong roots in Berkeley. He graduated with Honors in German from Cal 1983. While at Cal he was a 4-year student-athlete on the Varsity Men's Soccer Team earning an NCAA Championship run in 1981. Two years' musicianship and harmony in the Music Department at Cal. He coached as an assistant for the Men's Varsity Soccer Team.
While at Cal Teale met and married Nanou, a graduate of Berkeley High and Cal, and also a former French Teacher at TCS . Their children are: Natasha, 20, a student at Wesleyan University and Alexander, 17, a senior at Berkeley High.
Teale holds soccer coaching licenses from CYSA, USSF, and NSCAA. He is a licensed soccer referee.
Teale likes to play soccer, too. He is a member of Real Marin, a competitive men's soccer team, defending Mayflower League Champion and reining Champion of the King Cup, a national tournament held in Las Vegas .
Teale used to fly bush planes for a living. He holds a Commercial Pilot's License and Flight & Ground Instructor Licenses.
Teale and his family are residents and homeowners in Berkeley since 1986.
Teale plays guitar, strumming mostly tunes from the 60's and 70's. This is the era when he played in a popular dance band.
