We offer private lessons for violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, flute, clarinet, guitar, and composition.
Crowden’s private lesson faculty members are selected from among the area’s finest musicians and music educators to provide a focused, supportive, and well-rounded musical education for every ability level. (See our faculty roster!)
Students are matched with a teacher following a placement interview with a Crowden staff member, taking into account playing level, personality, and schedule.
Private lesson tuition includes weekly lessons and free opportunities to participate in Crowden student recitals and master classes.
Additionally, private lesson students are encouraged to participate in Crowden’s ensemble programs to reinforce and complement the skills learned in their private lessons.

How to Enroll
New students should submit a completed registration form along with a non-refundable $15 registration fee by August 15, 2017 (fall) or by January 2, 2018 (spring). Crowden will then contact registrants to schedule the placement interview. Following the interview, each student is matched with a teacher, taking into account playing level, personality, and schedule.
Returning students not requiring teacher placement need only to submit the registration form and payment by the deadline.
