Youth Chamber Music
Designed for intermediate to advanced string players, advanced pianists, and advanced wind players.
Chamber music requires each participant to concentrate and perform independently, while maintaining an awareness of an sensitivity to the other players in the ensemble. Crowden's chamber music program guides serious young musicians in the study and performance of the world's greatest chamber music masterworks.
Rehearsals are scheduled on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Each ensemble receives fourteen 90-minute coached rehearsals per semester, the opportunity to perform in an end-of-semester recital, and additional performance and master class opportunities.
Groups rehearse during one of the following times: Tuesdays, 5:15–6:45pm, 6:45–8:15pm; Saturdays, 9:30–11:00am, 11:00–12:30pm
Spring: January 24–May 9 (no class February18, 21, April 1, 4), recital on May 9 at 6:30pm
Tuition: $485 per 14-week semester

For auditions, applicants should be prepared to play two pieces of contrasting style and to sight-read a short excerpt. Upon review of auditions, Crowden will contact students regarding acceptance into the programs for which they have applied.
