Private Lessons

Ages 6 & older

(Ages 3 & older, see Suzuki Strings)

Crowden offers private instrumental lessons for all ages and levels of ability.

We offer private lessons for violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, flute, clarinet, guitar, and composition.

Crowden’s private lesson faculty members are selected from among the area’s finest musicians and music educators to provide a focused, supportive, and well-rounded musical education for every ability level. (See our faculty roster!)

Crowden has a limited number of openings for new students each year. Students who are interested in private lessons start by scheduling a placement interview, during which Crowden staff evaluate the student’s readiness. Following the interview, students are matched with a teacher based on playing level, learning style, and schedule. Placements are subject to availability.

Weekly lessons are scheduled by mutual arrangement (within Crowden calendar).

Private lesson tuition includes weekly lessons and free opportunities to participate in Crowden student recitals. Additionally, private lesson students are encouraged to participate in Crowden’s ensemble programs to reinforce and complement the skills learned in their private lessons.
