Winter Strings and Piano Camp
Wednesday–Friday, January 2–4
Join us for a fun, short week of music-making at Crowden's winter camp!
Designed for beginning- to intermediate- level violin, viola, cello, or piano players, Crowden’s winter camp gives participants an opportunity to ring in the new year with several days of intensive music-making.
Complete beginners are welcome! Beginning players learn the parts of their instrument, as well as proper positioning and form.
More experienced players are placed into group classes or chamber ensembles with their peers. Placement in a group is based on a required entrance interview. Participants will enjoy a variety of music activities, including an all-camp chorus, instrument technique and ensemble classes, music games, and visits by guest artists.
Before- and After-care is available from 8–9am, and from 3–6pm, at an additional cost of $7 per hour.
To register, submit a completed registration along with payment by December 1. Crowden will contact registrants to schedule a placement interview when the registration is received. No interview is required for students with less than six months of experience on their instrument
