Alyona Marenchuk received her M.M. in Piano Performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2008. Born in Odessa, Alyona started her musical training at the age of seven and developed an interest in teaching piano when she was still a student at the Odessa Music College. After she obtained her B.Mus. from the Odessa Music College in 1999, Alyona went on to study piano pedagogy at the South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University in 2000. In 2001, Alyona relocated to the Bay Area and received a B.Mus. in Piano Performance from Holy Names University in Oakland, where she studied with Mr. Roy Bogas and received Summa Cum Laude honors. In 2006, Alyona was accepted to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied piano with Professor Mack McCray. While pursuing her music education and performing in chamber and solo recitals, Alyona continued to share her passion for music through lessons with her private piano students. Alyona currently teaches at the Community Music Center in San Francisco and maintains a music studio in Oakland for her private students. Alyona is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and is also fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
