Elisabeth Engan, soprano, holds a B.Mus. from Mills College and has studied Kodaly music education at Holy Names University. She has taught voice to children and adults for over 18 years, and has been actively involved in early childhood music education since the birth of her son in 1998. She has taught at Sonoma State University, the Piedmont Choirs, Washington School in Richmond, and through the San Francisco Early Music Society's educational outreach program, among others. Also an active performer, Ms. Engan has appeared and recorded with the American Bach soloists, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the Carmel Bach Festival, and Paul Hillier's Theatre of Voices. She is one of the only women to perform with Chanticleer, and has appeared on over a dozen professional recordings on the Harmonia Mundi, Koch, Reference, and Musical Heritage Society labels.
