Crowden offers a unique elementary school environment where music and academics play in harmony.
In Grades 1–5, students engage in a rich, integrated curriculum that combines strong academic foundations with daily music instruction. Through ensemble playing, movement, and creative exploration, students build focus, discipline, collaboration, and confidence. Our program supports the development of critical thinking, language skills, and emotional intelligence—while fostering a lifelong love of learning and music.
Crowden School welcomes students with all levels of musical experience, from absolute beginners to serious young musicians.
For applicants to grades 1-5, all levels from absolute beginner to advanced are welcome on stringed instruments (violin, viola, or cello). Small classes and expert professional music coaches ensure that every young player gets the instruction they need to rise up to their full potential.

That’s OK! We welcome beginners on string instruments into all grade levels. We value aptitude and enthusiasm for music as much as experience. These traits can be demonstrated by playing any musical instrument or by singing.
