“Children’s brains develop faster with music training.”

Kindergarten at Crowden

Rooted In Music, Built For The Future

Discover why starting at Crowden sets your child on a lifelong path of curiosity and confidence.

At Crowden, your child’s education begins in a nurturing, creative environment where music is woven into each day. Our new Kindergarten program is designed to transition children from play-based preschool to rich academic learning, all supported by music’s proven benefits for brain development, collaboration, and confidence.

Crowden’s Kindergarten is where young learners thrive through joyful daily music and movement with a rich academic foundation. Studies have shown that music at an early age strengthens the brain’s capacity for focus, logic, language, and emotional growth.

Explore our Kindergarten program, designed to engage young minds through music and movement, hands-on learning, and community!

At Crowden, we believe in the incredible potential of music to shape your developing child.

Kindergarten Academics Teacher - Cheaunie Sparks

“I love the wonder and curiosity early learners bring into the classroom. It’s a privilege to help guide their growth academically, socially, and emotionally during such an important stage in their development. Every day with young children is full of possibility.”

At Crowden, music and movement are not separate from learning - they’re part of the rhythm of our day. From Opening Circle to Closing Circle, we build a joyful flow where academics are balanced with singing, creative expression, and plenty of time for movement and play. Our students have daily music classes and specialty experiences that complement their academic growth, helping them develop not only as learners but as whole people.

What makes Crowden’s Kindergarten special is this harmony of structure and creativity - we honor the needs of young children while nurturing their curiosity, imagination, and love of learning.

Eugene Sor - Artistic Director

The kindergarten music curriculum will feature three exploratory trimesters, during which students will learn to play various string instruments by rotation. Music and movement classes will also be held twice a week, during which students will learn the fundamentals of singing, rhythm, harmony, motion, and more.

As students move into 1st and 2nd grades, they will choose a main instrument to learn daily throughout the year while continuing to sharpen their music and movement skills. This will eventually lead to our grade 3-5 and 6-8 music curricula, where ensemble music, musicianship, chorus, and music history become added elements of our music program. Meanwhile, the students will be receiving outstanding academic training from our exceptional academic faculty! We are beyond excited for this new chapter at Crowden!
