Crowden offers a distinctive middle school experience where music and academics are deeply intertwined.
In Grades 6–8, students engage in a rigorous, music-centered program that supports this pivotal stage of growth. Through daily ensemble work and academic study, they build focus, discipline, collaboration, and independence. Small classes foster strong communication, critical thinking, and confidence—preparing students for high school and beyond.
Crowden School welcomes students with all levels of musical experience, from absolute beginners to serious young musicians.
For grades 6-8, all levels from beginning to advanced are welcome on stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello or bass). Small classes and expert professional music coaches ensure that every young player gets the instruction they need to rise up to their full potential.
Crowden’s middle school program welcomes students who are motivated to start playing the violin, viola, cello or bass.
Our conservatory-trained, expert professional music coaches are also prepared to take advanced and serious young players to the highest level possible.
