Students develop core flute technique and tone production alongside essential musicianship skills. Playful group activities introduce expression, pitch awareness, rhythm, listening, and ensemble playing, all in a supportive environment that nurtures confidence, creativity, and a love of music.

Course Description

Students build a strong foundation in flute technique and beautiful tone production while developing essential musicianship skills. Through engaging group activities, they explore expression, pitch awareness, rhythm, listening, and ensemble playing. In a supportive and joyful setting, each student grows in confidence, creativity, and a lasting love of music.

Important note: Crowden will provide Toot Flutes for students. Students are welcome to bring their own flute to class. Families should check that the instrument suits their child’s size before the session begins. We’re happy to offer guidance.

Thursdays | 18 classes per session
Spring session: January 21, 2027 to June 3, 2027 (no classes week of March 29-April 4)
