Biography

Gloria Chuang, pianist, won the National Young Keyboard Artist Competition of Taiwan at age 10. Consequently, she represented Taiwan and performed Concerto in D major by Joseph Haydn with the San Francisco Youth Orchestra at the Groves. While in Taiwan, Gloria studied under the tutelage of her father and the legendary Mozart specialist from Vienna, Robert Scholz. Gloria has been a third generation piano teacher in the Bay area in the 1990’s. She holds a Bachelor of Music and a Masters of Music from the Juilliard School and loves and enjoys sharing the love of music from age 3 on. When not busy teaching, Gloria is a Chinese calligraphist and enjoys her art and writings on rice papers. Gloria also participates in the Certificate of Merit program and is a gifted accompanist.
