Biography
Cheaunie Sparks brings over 30 years of experience working with young learners in TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade classrooms across the Bay Area—including at The San Francisco School and The Aurora School. Cheaunie offers a deep understanding of early childhood development and education.
Her work with children ages 3–7 has equipped her with keen insight into the academic and emotional growth of young learners. Cheaunie is known for her strength in leading small reading groups, developing engaging and age-appropriate curriculum, and creating meaningful math experiences tailored to the needs of young children. Her teaching style is enriched by a strong foundation in creative arts and social-emotional learning, allowing her to nurture the whole child while fostering curiosity, confidence, and academic readiness.
Cheaunie is thrilled to be joining The Crowden School community, where music and movement are woven into the daily rhythm of learning. She is passionate about guiding Kindergarten students through this critical developmental stage, helping them thrive as readers, writers, mathematicians, artists, and compassionate community members.
