Crowden Students Travel to Honolulu to Perform in Pacific Basin Music Festival

Mar 18, 2024

Of all the wonderful memories our alumni recall from their years at Crowden, one that they seem to universally cherish is their seventh/eighth grade tour. The shared experience of traveling to faraway destinations to workshop with renowned teachers, play side by side with students from other cities and countries, and perform for appreciative audiences away from home is for many of our students one of their first significant memories of stepping into young adulthood.

This year’s tour takes Crowden’s Classes of 2024 and 2025 to Honolulu, Hawaii to participate in the Pacific Basin Music Festival! From March 23 to 28, our Seventh and Eighth Grades will perform along with several other middle and high schools from across the US in the 39th annual festival. Along with performing and attending several concerts, our students will have the opportunity to work with acclaimed conductor and educator Stephen Williams, share a combined rehearsal with the students of JSerra Catholic High School of San Juan Capistrano, CA, and experience the culture (and sunshine!) of our beloved 50th state.

We are thrilled to be able to share Crowden’s wonderful music program with other schools, teachers, and audiences in a beautiful setting rich with vibrant culture! Look for pictures and stories from the road, and please cheer on our amazing seventh and eighth Graders!
