Youth Chamber Music >

Our faculty of renowned chamber musicians guide advanced students through a deeper understanding of timbre, texture, balance, expression, technique, and interpretation while strengthening students’ listening and communication skills.

Ages: Ages 14 to 18

Chamber Orchestra >

In the Chamber Orchestra, students learn to follow a conductor and engage with a variety of high quality repertoire. While there is some range of levels in the group, students are expected to be comfortable with shifting and vibrato before auditioning.

A comprehensive string program combining private lessons, group classes, and parent participation.

John Adams Young Composers Program >

Crowden's John Adams Young Composers program was founded in honor of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Adams, who has a long association with Crowden, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The heart of our mission is to guide and mentor our students through the formative stages of their creative growth as composers
