Cathy Allen, cello, performs with the Sacramento Philharmonic, the contemporary music ensemble Sounds New, and the Carol Trio. In addition to her work at Crowden, she maintains a private studio of students and coaches in the Oakland Middle Schools for the HOUSE chamber ensemble project. She lives in El Cerrito with her husband Brooke Aird and their two cats.
