John Zientek is a guitarist, educator, and writer with over 20 years of teaching experience. His approach integrates classical technique, fingerstyle traditions, and a wide range of popular and roots-based styles, including folk, country, and rock. He holds a Master of Music and Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Marc Teicholz and Sérgio Assad. His musical development has also been shaped by private study with leading artists across jazz, fingerstyle, and country traditions.

In addition to his work as a performer and teacher, John has toured as a manager and live recording engineer, and has written extensively about music and the arts.
