Biography
Karen Ginsberg has nearly 40 years of experience teaching math and science in the East Bay (both independent and public, middle and high school) under her belt. Karen is highly passionate about the world around her and has spent the past 30 years not only teaching about, but also studying, climate change. She has written curriculum, traveled to the Bahamas on a fellowship, worked with the National Estuarine Research Reserve, and involved her students in debate, water quality studies, data analysis, and creating solutions to the global problem. She believes students learn best when actively involved in their education and when given problems to solve, especially when there is not a linear solution. When she is not knee deep in Bay mud, Karen quilts, cooks, and explores.
