Cellist Kendra Grittani is an engaging and expressive performer whose work spans solo, chamber, and orchestral repertoire. She has performed with major ensembles including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic, and, most recently, held a full-time position with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. A graduate of McGill University (B.Mus, M.Mus), she has appeared at international festivals such as Music by the Sea, Trinity Alps Festival, and the Mozarteum Residency in Austria.
Kendra is co-founder of Duo Thalia, a cello and piano duo focused on amplifying the voices of female and BIPOC composers. The ensemble recently toured an Ontario Arts Council-funded program across rural Ontario. Based in California, she is also an active educator and orchestral musician, currently performing with the Toronto, Kitchener, Oakland, Monterey, and Stockton Symphony Orchestras.
