Kim González-Chang
K-6 Science Specialist
Biography
Ms. González started out her career as a marine biologist: spending time researching seaweed and feeding sharks. These were amazing experiences that inspired her to share her love of science with others. She led and developed education programming for the Seattle Aquarium before moving to Hong Kong, where she designed a new marine science center and K-12 science program.
Ms. González has lived in the East Bay for nearly a decade now. In that time, she has taught innovative science programming to K-8 students in independent schools and developed science + engineering design. Some of her curricula can be found on PBS Learning Media and in a number of public school districts. Before joining Crowden, she founded a STEAM-themed early childhood program.
