Shuyi Hsieh, originally from Taiwan, holds a master degree of piano performance from Manhattan School of Music. Shuyi is an active pianist who has worked with renowned soloists from Europe, America, Australia and Asia. Shuyi also had her highly acclaimed recital series Watermark, a sad bird, and Imaginations at the National Recital Hall in Taipei.
Aside from performing, Shuyi is an experienced piano teacher. Over the last 18 years, she has worked in music schools teaching students preparing for professional performance careers, as well as community college for amateurs. She enjoys observing each student’s character in their playing and designs lessons tailored for them. She finds the most fulfillment as a teacher when students can express themselves through music and, most of all, enjoy playing piano.
