Adult Chamber Music

Ages 18 & older

Phyllis Kamrin, Program Director

Designed for adult musicians who would like to play in a small group with others of comparable experience and ability.

Crowden makes playing chamber music easy with our adult ensembles program

Over the course of ten weeks, each group meets for eight 90-minute coached rehearsals. The session ends in an informal recital.

String, wind and piano players are encouraged to participate. Compatible participants are placed in chamber groups according to instrumentation, playing level, musical interests, and schedule availability. Pre-formed groups are welcome to apply.

Payment of the tuition fee covers the cost of participation in a single chamber group. Participants may register multiple times for the same session, if they wish to participate in multiple groups.

Mandatory recitals on November 19, March 3, and June 3.

Registration

To register, submit a completed registration along with a non-refundable $15 registration fee one month prior to the start of the session. Crowden will contact registrants to schedule an interview appointment when the registration is received. For interviews, applicants should be prepared to play one piece or excerpt of a piece to show level and ability,
and to sight-read a short excerpt. Upon completion of interviews, Crowden will contact students regarding acceptance and placement. Payment is due before the first class meeting.
