Youth Chamber Music
Designed for intermediate to advanced string players, advanced pianists, and advanced wind players.
Chamber music requires each participant to concentrate and perform independently, while maintaining an awareness of an sensitivity to the other players in the ensemble. Crowden's chamber music program guides serious young musicians in the study and performance of the world's greatest chamber music masterworks.
Our faculty of renowned chamber musicians guides advanced students through a deeper understanding of timbre, texture, balance, expression, technique, and interpretation while strengthening students’ listening and communication skills.
Crowden’s chamber music program fosters a community of committed and inspired young musicians whose musical friendships and shared memories last a lifetime.
Rehearsals are scheduled on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Each ensemble receives coached rehearsals, plus the opportunity to perform in an end-of-session recital, and additional performance and masterclass opportunities.
