Youth Chamber Music

Advanced string players and pianists

Ages 14–18

Our chamber music program provides older students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and passion for music through the study and performance of the world's greatest chamber music repertoire.

Chamber music requires each participant to concentrate and perform independently, while maintaining an awareness of and sensitivity to the other players in the ensemble. Crowden’s world-class chamber music program guides serious young musicians in the study and performance of the world’s greatest chamber music masterworks.

Our faculty of renowned chamber musicians guides advanced students through a deeper understanding of timbre, texture, balance, expression, technique, and interpretation while strengthening students’ listening and communication skills.

Crowden’s chamber music program fosters a community of committed and inspired young musicians whose musical friendships and shared memories last a lifetime.

Rehearsals are scheduled on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Ensembles perform in recitals several times over the course of the year. Occasionally, selected ensembles are invited to participate in outside performances, master classes, festivals and competitions.
