Biography
I’m a mostly retired ObGyn physician and mother of three adult children. My youngest, Alice, became a strong violist and developed socially and academically into a particularly lovely human during her 5 years at Crowden 2005-10.
I love to be part of music that builds community. As the daughter of a music educator, the importance of music education seems to be in my DNA. I’m a violinist and have played in the Berkeley Symphony for 32 years. I adore my string quartet who meets a couple times per month and I love playing in pit orchestras. My husband, Jack, and I are thrilled to live in the Maybeck Studio for the Performing Arts, a 40-seat recital hall. We open the acoustically glorious space for performances about once per month.
And my most recent new endeavor: I'm learning to make violins.
