Young Musicians’ Vocal Academy >
Over the course of this two-week camp, students will gain important skills in vocal performance and receive musical training, which will prepare them for future musical theatre group and solo singing.
John Adams Young Composers Program Workshop >
A creative workshop for young composers of all levels, students will compose a suite of miniatures for voice and piano. Our accomplished faculty and guest artists provide guidance and feedback as participants refine their work. The camp culminates in a public performance of student works by professional musicians.
Beginning Cello >
This group class is a great way to explore the cello for the first time. Students learn the parts of the instrument and bow as well as proper playing position and posture. They will be introduced to basic rhythms, note reading, and introductory pieces.
Viola – Private Lessons >
Viola lessons at Crowden School cultivate a rich, resonant tone and a nuanced approach to phrasing. Through focused one-on-one instruction, students develop both technical control and musical precision.
Beginning Violin >

Adult Chamber Music >
Designed for adult musicians of varying experience levels, this program offers the opportunity to rehearse and perform chamber music in a supportive and engaging ensemble environment.

Crowden's John Adams Young Composers program was founded in honor of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Adams, who has a long association with Crowden, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The heart of our mission is to guide and mentor our students through the formative stages of their creative growth as composers
Youth Chamber Music >
Our faculty of renowned chamber musicians guide advanced students through a deeper understanding of timbre, texture, balance, expression, technique, and interpretation while strengthening students’ listening and communication skills.
Chamber Orchestra >
In the Chamber Orchestra, students learn to follow a conductor and engage with a variety of high quality repertoire. While there is some range of levels in the group, students are expected to be comfortable with shifting and vibrato before auditioning.
