Financial Aid
Qualified students should apply to the Crowden School regardless of ability to pay full tuition.
The Crowden School budgets a significant fraction of revenue to financial assistance. As part of our commitment to musical talent, academic excellence, and distinction in the student body, the actual cost of a Crowden education is substantially more than the tuition we charge—approximately $2,200 to $2,500 more per pupil—which is raised by tax-deductible donations from families, alumni, and friends of the school. We annually solicit contributions to close this gap and support the provision of financial assistance.
Assistance is based on the financial need of the family. To be eligible for consideration for financial assistance, you must complete and submit the financial aid application and required financial documents by the due dates below.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
The Crowden School uses FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to process financial aid applications. All applications must be submitted electronically through the FACTS website. Incomplete financial aid forms will not be considered.

Policies
In the case of divorced or separated parents, the school requires that both parents complete and submit application forms to FACTS. The school will consider the assets of both parents before making any award, and will not be bound by the assertion that one parent has disclaimed responsibility for educational expenses. If either parent has remarried, we also consider the assets of the step-parent, bearing in mind, of course, the obligations of that step-parent to his or her children from previous commitments.
Awards are revised annually and provision of continued aid is based on yearly qualification and adherence to the school's standards. Parents must inform the school if there is any significant change in the family's income level or eligibility for aid during the school year.
The Crowden School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Crowden is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we value our inclusive community of students, parents, and faculty and staff of all backgrounds. Together, we celebrate our many differences and unite in our shared love of music of all kinds and origins.
